WE MAKE PLAY POSSIBLE!

WE MAKE PLAY POSSIBLE!

We Play Foundation creates accessibility for youth to participate in sports.

We Play Foundation believes every young person in Oregon deserves the chance to participate in sports. Engaging in athletics gives youth healthy, joyful experiences while fostering essential life skills. Through play, children develop physical strength, confidence, and mental and emotional resilience. Team sports amplify these benefits, creating community and teaching the importance of working together.

The rising cost of youth sports has become the primary barrier to participation. We Play Foundation works to increase athlete access by also providing need-based financial aid for expenses associated with participating in sports in Oregon.

OUR VISION

To encourage kids to become multi-sport athletes and remove any financial barriers to participation in sports.

We follow the Long Term Athlete Development (LTAD) program, which is a stage-by-stage approach that gives every child the greatest opportunity to engage in lifelong, health-enhancing physical activity, and ultimately maximize their full potential. This is achieved by encouraging multi-sport participation and proper development-to-competition ratios.

Other benefits of various sports include exposing kids to a variety of physical literacy skills, allowing them to improve their social skills, and increasing their enjoyment of physical and emotional activities through sports. It prepares them for a lifetime of physical activity, connections, and positive experiences.

100% of donations go straight to youth athletes in Oregon.
